"Where do I enquire about my land in Shamal El Rehab?" is a simple question whose answer is scattered across several government sites and groups full of rumours. This page gathers every official channel in one place and tells you exactly what each one is for. Save it to your bookmarks; you'll need it more than once.

What each channel does for you

The Authority's land portal (lands.nuca.gov.eg)

The parent portal for the Authority's land projects, including the pages for Shamal El Rehab's own phases (such as the eighth phase). It holds project data, requirements booklets and competition announcements. If you hold an existing allocation, following your account and instalments starts here.

The reservation portal (reserve.newcities.gov.eg)

The official channel for applying to residential land releases for individuals when they open. Registration and payment are entirely electronic. Anyone offering to "reserve" a government release for you outside this portal is offering you a risk, not a service. (The full mechanics of releases are in the releases article.)

The New Cairo city authority

The executive arm on the ground: building permits, plot inspections, handover reports, and on-site complaints (encroachments, utilities). The rule: paperwork goes to the Authority and its portals, anything on the ground goes to the city authority.

Handover announcements

Batch handover dates are issued in official statements from the Ministry and the Authority, and the schedule for the latest actual wave along with the full handover documents is in our handover guide.

Three rules that protect you from group rumours

1) Official information has an official link. Any news of a "handover, release or decision" without a published government source, treat as talk until proven otherwise. 2) Financial data comes from nobody but the Authority. Your instalment and arrears figures come from your account on the portal or from the authority directly, not from a broker who "knows someone inside". 3) Document every dealing. For any important enquiry, ask for the answer in writing or screenshot the official account with its date. The record you keep today settles tomorrow's dispute.

And if your question is about the market rather than the government?

Actual prices, comparisons and buying decisions are our territory: the area's updated prices, the documented price per sqm table, and the pre-contract guide. The official side belongs to the government, the market side belongs to us, and both serve your decision.

Frequently asked questions

How do I enquire about my land in Shamal El Rehab?

Allocation and instalment data comes from the Authority's land portal (lands.nuca.gov.eg), and on-site matters (permits, inspections, handover) from the New Cairo city authority. Paperwork to the Authority, ground matters to the city authority.

Where do I follow new Shamal El Rehab land releases?

The only official channel for applying is the reserve.newcities.gov.eg portal, where registration and payment happen electronically. Treat any offer to "reserve" outside it as a risk rather than a service.

How do I find the official land handover dates?

From the official statements of the Ministry of Housing and the New Urban Communities Authority, issued as published area-by-area schedules. We cover them as they're released, along with the handover documents, in our handover guide.
